Just before Easter, Year 5 were put into teams and set a series of 8 challenges to complete. The first challenge took a whole day. The children had to design and cost what would be a perfect school day for them. The children spent time on the web, and used up the credit on teachers mobile phones! At the end of the day, each team produced a file of work which was awarded points.
Week 2 was a little different. The children had to complete 7 challenges...in just one day! The challenges were: junk modeling, cookery, literacy, numeracy, limerick writing, a quiz and a sports challenge. At the end of the day all the points for each challenge were added up.The team with the most points, the 'Brainiac Toxic Terrors' won the chance to run their perfect school day in school.
