Headteacher challenge.

The winning team of the Year 5 challenge now face an even tougher task...they are competing to become headteacher for a day! They have three challenges to complete:

Head Teacher Challenge.

As your group won the Y5 challenge, you have earned the right to enter the next phase. You have three challenges to complete. The overall winner will become head teacher of our school for a day. We will complete the challenges over 3 sessions.

Challenge 1:
 You will be given a letter written by an angry parent. You must type a letter of response using appropriate language and coming up with a solution that may help to resolve things. Try to use letter writing skills that you have learned at school.

Challenge 2:
You will prepare a speech that will last for approximately 2 minutes and present it to Mrs Wood. The speech should be about why you should be chosen to be Head Teacher for the day. You will need to use persuasive language and really sell yourself! You will be given time to make notes.

Challenge 3:
You must choose one area of the school that could be improved. It could be a space either inside or outside the building. You need to present a written report detailing your plans with illustrations where appropriate. Original ideas are most welcome, so use your imagination!
